KDF Announces Shortlisted Candidates: How to Check

The Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) has announced its shortlisted candidates for the specialist officers and trades and women's position.

In a statement released by the KDF on Sunday (November 21st), the defense forces further disclosed interview dates and locations for the shortlisted candidates.

The announcement by the special forces follows the closure of the November recruitment process, which ended on November 12. Majors announced for specialist officers included Engineering, Environmental science, Communications, Hospitality, among others.

"The applicants listed below have been shortlisted as Specialized Officers and Trades/Women. Specialized Officer Candidates must report to the Kenya Military Academy (KMA) in Damn, Nakuru County at 8:00 am on Sunday, December 12, 2021."

The statement states that "Applicants for the tradesman/women position will notify the Nairobi District Embakasi Garrison on Sunday, December 5 at 8:00 am".

In addition, KDF stated that they will provide the candidates with food and accommodation during the interview. However, successful applicants were also advised to carry thick clothing and adequate face masks.

The statement stated, "The travel expenses of the unsuccessful candidates will be reimbursed in accordance with the KDF Regulation".

All shortlisted candidates are advised to carry their original ID cards and academic papers with them.

"Candidates MUST bring with them their National Identity (Identity) Original Card and four copies of their Academic and Professional Certificates, CVs and other Opinions," said KDF.

In the statement, KDF warned the shortlisted candidates not to try to influence the interview process and added that the interviews would be free and fair.

"KDF recruitment is free, fair and open to all eligible Kenyans. Report any case of malpractice to recruiters, the nearest police station, or via the Defense line numbers 0726419709 or 0120300599," the statement said.

How to Check

Kenyans applying for positions can check if they have been shortlisted by visiting the Ministry of Defense website and downloading the list of successful applicants.

Alternatively, applicants can visit KDF's verified social media accounts to access the link that directs them to the list of shortlisted candidates.
