A  woman could face criminal charges after a shocking video showed her throwing a bowl of steaming soup into a restaurant manager's face.

According to reports, the unnamed customer in the video was angry after discovering a piece of melted plastic in her takeout container of spicy soup at the Mexican chain Sol de Jalisco in Temple, Texas.

As a result, she immediately confronted the manager, Jannelle Broland, and threw the Spicy Spicy Mexican Menudo soup on her face after claiming the soup had dissolved the lid of the container.

The footage of the incident, which has now gone viral on TikTok, shows the woman arguing with the manager as she removes the plastic lid of the container to point at the piece of melted plastic. Then suddenly, she hurls the container at Broland's face and immediately runs out of the store.

Needless to say, Broland was left traumatised and heartbroken by the entire episode. Fortunately, she didn't suffer any burn injuries as the soup had cooled down a bit. But the spices in it left her eyes burning and even led to a nosebleed.

"The experience itself was traumatizing and heartbreaking. I felt my spirit had been broken just knowing someone could do something so awful and then laugh about it," Broland was quoted as saying by Mail Online.

The woman has already been slammed by netizens and could possibly face criminal charges.

Broland has reported the incident to Temple Police. She also has photos of the woman's car that were taken by other customers. She intends to press full charges against the woman.

"We do not condone this type of behavior and hold our citizens to the highest standard. If a citizen believes they have received poor service we advise them to remain civil until the problem is resolved," Temple Police Deputy Chief Allen Teston told KCENTV.

The shocking TikTok clip, shared by Broland herself, has now collected more than 5 million views. Netizens have extended their support for her and said the woman should be jailed.
